UAV Applications
Drone technology has made significant advancements in a very short time. This technology has evolved from the early days of simple drones, to more advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), to the latest remotely piloted aerial systems (RPAS). X-Terra utilizes the latest RPAS technologies to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to our clients in an array of disciplines including:
Spill Management and Mitigation
Facilities, Site, and Inventory Management
Remediation Site Management
Post Construction and Reclamation
Stakeholder Engagement
Wetlands Management and Mitigation
Construction Monitoring
Environmental Screening
Pre Construction Site Assessment and Planning
Ongoing Environmental Monitoring
RPA systems come in many configurations. Depending on the project requirements, X-Terra utilizes both rotary and fixed wing systems to deliver the best value to any project.
X-Terra field crews now carry small, lightweight drones as part of their typical field gear. These units can be carried in a backpack and be deployed quickly when the need arises. They are very beneficial where unexpected challenges arise in the field. In many cases the old adage of “a picture is worth a thousand words” applies, especially if that picture is readily available, timely, and inexpensive to acquire.
For larger projects, a more robust system may be needed. X-Terra utilizes their quad-copter UAV for these applications. This allows for bigger payloads, additional sensors, and project specific applications.
X-Terra is pleased to announce our strategic alliance with industry-leader Draganfly Inc to market and sell the Quantix Mapper hybrid VTOL drone. This represents some of the very latest in drone technology and includes the features:
